An opportunity has arise for a dynamic, mature suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the position of Principal Office in a funeral insurance company which provides funeral financial services to govt, parastatal and pvt employees, The position provides for the overall management function of the Company in order to achieve its corporate and strategic objectives

Reporting to the CEO

Day to day management of the Company, Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements of the Reserve Bank of Malawi and other National laws, Monitoring of customers complaints through the customer query register, Ensuring that company assets are properly managed, Ensuring that all internal administrative processes are effectively managed, Instilling a high sense of team spirit among all staff, Managing staff and clients, Providing daily, weekly and monthly reports on the performance of the company, Gathering market and customer information for marketing and sales planning, Constantly monitoring and reviewing sales performance of the company with an aim of improving sales and achieving set targets, development of satellite offices to the required number, volume and efficiency, Building business relationships in order to achieve set sales targets

Professional insurance qualification recognised by the Insurance Institute of Malawi and acceptable to Register (i.e. ACII or its equivalent), At least 5 yrs experience in managerial level of Insurance, Experience in a microfinance environment is an added advantage

Team player  approachable, receptive to ideas/feedback from others, Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, Logical thinker has a clear, focussed and methodical approach to work, results oriented, strongly motivated to achieve results, adheres to strict deadlines, Assertive – able to handle conflict, stand by principles and put forward ideas despite opposition, Tough-minded, rarely upset by criticism, and able to retain optimism despite setbacks, Highly computer literate, must be able to work odd hours, Must be performance driven, self starter who is able to handle the responsibilities associated with his/her position with honesty and integrity
