Reporting to the Senior VP Subsea Services, the SSA Regional Leader for Subsea Services will provide overall leadership for Subsea Systems Services business across the SSA region, leading a P&L of circa 210 employees executing orders in excess of $120M USD. While part of the global Subsea Services organisation, the regional service operation will work as an integrated part of and in parallel with the SSA regional organisation providing local customer support and service.
Key elements of the position include –

  • Delivery of services across Subsea Systems product and system portfolio e.g. field operations, repair, refurbishment, spares, rental, equipment management, Integrated Services, Solutions, Brownfield upgrades, Training, etc 
  • Working in full collaboration with our JV Partners, to ensure consistency and that they are fully supported with process development and management of the Joint Venture 
  • Providing leadership, motivation, line of sight and coaching to all regional employees consisting of Bids teams, Project Managers, Workshop personnel, Technical support, Operations Engineers, Field Services, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain Management & Service finance 
  • Ownership of Inquiry to Order/Order to Remittance activity for P&L statement and balance sheets for all SSA operations 
  • Ownership of KPI’s with the objectives being to meet or exceed the Operating Plan, on time delivery objectives and resource/asset utilization targets 
  • Managing main Financial and growth metrics such as Orders, Sales, CM & OM, Base Costs, P&E, Inventory, cash, past due etc 
  • Participating in internal and external customer meetings to define technical, financial, quality, execution manpower and tooling requirements are being met 
  • Ensuring the organization adheres to the compliance and integrity policy, quality and regulatory standards to meet GE and legislative requirements by proactively promoting these key business requirements within the region 
  • Enhancing high level relationships with key customers, partners and key suppliers 
  • Providing development opportunities for employees and building a strong talent pool within the region to ensure robust succession plans are in place 
  • Being an effective part of a global matrix organization and partner with all the functional leaders 
  • Active participation in promoting the highest standards of EHS compliance 
  • Developing additional service capabilities, potentially leading to growth of regional service shops footprint and legal business entities as required to meet operational and growth needs 
  • drive the synergies with other GE businesses in the area
  • Degree required - preferably in Engineering or Economics/business or related fields 
  • Strong Knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry preferably in the Subsea Sector 
  • Substantial experience in a multinational company (preferably operations experience in SSA), with recent experience of full P&L responsibility including commercial, operations, legal, financials, etc 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and develop relationships at high level 
  • Capability to work in complex projects understanding customers needs and criticality's 
  • Proven ability to operate in a team environment and work in a matrix organization 
  • Ability to communicate easily at all levels and in all mediums 
  • Exemplary leaderships skills 
  • Oriented to results and committed to their accomplishment 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Prior experience in leadership of company compliance, employee health/safety and protection of the environment is preferred 
  • Strong customer service orientation and extensive customer interface experience
  • Six Sigma training is preferred 
  • Knowledge of O&M financial operations with ability to control cost margins levels within financial targets of the business 
  • Ability to work with customers meeting commercial contractual terms within the in the terms of the contract
