The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:
FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY -- DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE
The Department offers undergraduate degree programmes in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Systems and Networks engineering. There are also double major degree programmes in Computer Science with either of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics. The department wishes to appoint a qualified candidate to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, project supervision and research in Computer Science.
POST NO. 2465: LECTURER IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
Minimum qualifications and requirements:
- Masters degree in Computer Science; PhD will be an added advantage.
- At least (1) year relevant teaching experience in Computer Science at a tertiary level.
- Evidence of a recent research record in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Duties:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science courses
- Supervise student projects.
- Conduct relevant research and publish in reputable journals and conferences.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the department.
Contract duration:
The appointment of a successful candidate shall be on a two year contract.
The successful candidate is expected to resume duty immediately.

The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
