Reporting to Infrastructure Manager, the main purpose of the job is installing, configuring, operating, maintaining of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure, especially UNIX/Linux/Sun Solaris based ICT infrastructure.
The main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Planning
- Participating in the planning of the IS infrastructure strategy, designing and major upgrades and changes to ensuring reliability and availability.
- Determining system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Database Administrator tenable at its offices in Blantyre.

Reporting to the Manager, Information Services Infrastructure the incumbent will be responsible of leading in the implementation and management of high performing and highly scalable database architecture and solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:-
Analysis
- Analyzing organization’s business requirements and operations for database design.
- Participating and tracking technical progress of projects to ensure compliance with existing architecture and design.
- Analyzing highly complex system standards, thresholds, and recommendations to maximize system performance.
Information Systems Manager tenable at its offices in Blantyre.

Planning
- Participating in the planning of the IS Technology strategy, designing of major upgrades and changes to ensuring reliability and availability.
- Advising on the technical specification relating to the development or procurement of new information systems or ICT infrastructure.
- Establishing systems requirements for budget inclusion.
IT NETWORK ENGINEER tenable at its offices in Blantyre.

The main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Planning
- Participating in the planning of the IS infrastructure strategy.
- Assessing short and long term network capacity needs and design for proposals to IS Department Management.
- Developing and deploying methodologies for testing network performance.
- Participating in the designing and planning of major upgrades and changes to ensure reliability and availability.
- Determining network infrastructure specifications, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Senior Systems Administrator tenable at its offices in Blantyre.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the main purpose of the job is technical designing, planning, implementing and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. She/he will also serve as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems and implements approved changes and/or new features to support and secure the enterprise infrastructure.

- Determining system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- Evaluating products to make proposals for improvements.
- Developing and analyzing highly complex system standards, thresholds, and recommendations to maximize system performance.
- Participating in the planning for systems deployment.
IT Security and Compliance Officer tenable at its offices in Blantyre.

Reporting to Head of Information Services, the main purpose of the job is implementing and maintaining information security policy; security policy education, training, and awareness activities as well as monitoring compliance with MTL IT security policy, IS governance and applicable law. Furthermore, he/she will safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
The main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Planning
- Designing audit/compliance programs to ensure ongoing evaluation and validation of ITS control effectiveness.
- Participating in the planning of the IS Security strategy.
- Participating in developing and implementing security policy.
- Participating in putting together a process for addressing any deficiencies in the information security policies, procedures, and practices of the organization.
- Participating in the designing and planning of major upgrades and changes to ensuring reliability and availability.
- Planning and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data.
- Participating in other planning activities by providing adequate information security for networks, facilities, information systems, or groups of information systems, as appropriate.
- Researching trends, products, and equipment for the purpose of security recommendations.
- Documenting Procedures for detecting, reporting, and responding to security incidents.
