General Fitter Maintenance Technician Wanted at National Food Reserve Agency

The National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) was established in 1999 to manage the Grain Reserves. Its head office is at Kanengo in Lilongwe. The Agency is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position of General Fitter Maintenance Technician tenable at Head Office in Lilongwe.

Purpose of the Job

• To install and service machines, rectify both industrial and domestic faults.

Main Duties

• Installing all types of fittings and machinery.
• Servicing machines and equipment.
• Monitoring operations systems
• Switching on and off the power supply.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults.
• Reporting major faults.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• General Fitting qualifications at Diploma level/or its equivalent/ or National Trade Test Grade 2 in General Fitting. Those with National Trade test grade 1 or its equivalent will have an added advantage.

Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience in General fitting.
