Cooperative Extension Worker - 1 post – Ntchisi East Coffee Growers Cooperative Society
Reporting to the Project Coordinator
Sensitise and mobilise communities on project’s activities, Provide technical support to farmers in agricultural production, Assess farm input requirement for Crops and link farmers to Micro-finance institutions, Link farmers to reliable markets, Train farmers in various aspects pertaining agricultural production, Develop monthly work plans and budgets, Prepare monthly, quarterly and bi-annual updates on progress to Donors and Board, Carry out any other duties as assigned by management from time to time
Diploma/Certificate in Agriculture or in other relevant field from a recognised institution, Those with extensive experience in Coffee or Tree Crop production will be considered, Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel is required, Strong interpersonal and motivational skills and ability to work under minimum supervision, Ability to ride a motor bike, Excellent oral and written communication in both English and Chichewa
