Service Provider (Clinical Officer)
Reporting to District Manager
Attending to general clinical needs of a Youth Life Centre and ensures services provided are of high quality, maintain records of every activity done and compiling daily/monthly returns with assistance from the District Manager
Planning for provision of youth friendly, client centred services to clients, Provision of al services as approved by FPAM using quality of care standards and guidelines as provided and within the professional confines of the service provider, Conducts client assessment through history taking and examination based on presenting conditions and providing treatment, care and support to client correctly and appropriate as possible to ensure quick recovery from the disease process, Provide counselling on general issues and problems for both young clients, sexually biased, clients with special needs, marginalised populations as well as general clients regardless of their status, religion or sexual orientation, Reports monthly clinic progress to the District Manager and suggest ways of improving the clientele and services
Diploma in Clinical Medicine obtained from a recognised training institution and registered with Medical Council of Malawi
HIV Counselling and Testing, Family planning service provision including long acting contraceptive methods such as jadelle and implanon, skills in conducting minor surgical procedures like Tubal ligation, syndromic management of sexually transmitted infection, ART management, cervical cancer, screening including cryotherapy among others, Certified providers of youth friendly health services will have an added advantage
Must be between the ages of 25 to 40 yrs with a minimum of 2 yrs working experience
