Abt Associates, a major American research, technical assistance and consulting company, seeks highly qualified candidates for a potential USAID agriculture and nutrition project, This 5 yr project is designed to foster inclusive and sustainable growth in Malawi’s agriculture sector and to improve the nutritional status of women and children under five, The project will integrate agriculture and nutrition behaviour change interventions in rural communities, while also increasing the competiveness of high-value, nutrient,-rich value chains, Minimum qualifications for candidates include a university degree in a relevant field, 3 yrs of professional experience and fluency in English
Financial and technical management of development projects, capacity building of local govt and NGOs, increasing the productivity and marketing of select value chains (soy, groundnut, orange-fleshed sweet potato, pigeon pea), Implementing WASH activities at community level, designing and implementing behaviour change communication for nutrition and sanitation programs, Surveillance of nutrition outcomes, Facilitating access to finance for agricultural business, integrating gender and youth in development projects, Monitoring and evaluation of development projects, Monitoring and evaluation of development projects, Communications, including writing project materials and articles, data reporting, including the collection and analysis of data
