Highway Engineer – Lilongwe – 1 post (tenable at various sites and the head Office)
BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution with a minimum of 10 yrs experience in road design and construction (any higher qualifications in a relevant field will be an added advantage), Computer literate, Must be competent in AUTOCAD, Must have a valid driving licence and travel documents (passport)
Must have at least 7 yrs experience in carrying out feasibility studies and engineering designs of roads, highways and design construction projects, Must have relevant experience including a working knowledge of the disciplines involved in such studies ( particular alignment design, pavement design, materials investigation, cost engineering and safety issues, Must have experience in managing feasibility studies and project design for similar assignments, particularly in coordinating a multidisciplinary team of experts
Must be familiar with FIDIC and/or other internationally recognised forms of Contract procedures and administration, Must be registered with the Malawi Board of Engineers and any other International Recognised Bodies
