HelpAge International's vision is one of a world where older people fulfill their potential to lead active, dignified, healthy and secure lives. We are an international network, bringing together more than 114 affiliates and 200 partners working with older people in over 50 countries.
On behalf of the Start Network, HelpAge International is seeking to recruit an experienced Programme Manager to lead on an exciting three year, multi-country, multi-agency, collaborative capacity building and mainstreaming programme designed to ensure the effective inclusion of older people and people with disability into humanitarian programming.
The Age and Disability Capacity Building (ADCB) programme is a global initiative supported by DfID and USAID that will be implemented by the Age and Disability (A&D) Consortium, led by HelpAge International. Consortium members include Handicap International, CBM, IFRC, Red R UK and Disaster Ready. The programme will work with both international and national partners at operational and headquarters levels, to build their knowledge and expertise in inclusive humanitarian programming in support of changes to policy and practice of operational actors. -
We are therefore looking for highly skilled and dynamic programme/project manager with a track record of delivering results within tight timeframes and managing and working with multiple partners and donors. The successful candidate will have the wisdom and knowledge to understand the humanitarian landscape and the experience of using capacity development and mainstreaming approaches to influence humanitarian policy and practice.
