PURPOSE OF THE POST
Reporting to the Program Area Manager Mzuzu on a day to day basis and to the Administration & Procurement Manager at the country office in Lilongwe on technical issues will be responsible for administration, logistics, procurement and overall office management functions of the Program Area
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • An accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration, Economics, Engineering, Procurement etc
  • At least 2 years of practical work experience in administration & logistics
  • Working knowledge of word processing,
  • Sound experience in providing administrative and logistics to an emergency response
  • Commitment to international development and children’s rights

SOS Children’s Villages Malawi, Habitat for Humanity and Children’s Fund of Malawi is looking for applicants to fill the following vacancies for its “Constructing Jobs,  Building Lives (CJBL) project which is a 30 months project being implemented in Lilongwe, Salima and Mulanje districts under the European Commission STEP Programme
Project Manager (Fixed Contract) (Based at SOS Children’s Villages Malawi offices in Lilongwe)
Duties and Responsibilities
The CJBL Project Manager will start up and implement the project between the 3 partners and will report to the National Programmed SOS Children’s Villages Malawi. The Project Manager will play the overall coordination of the implementation of the project among the three organizations as follows:
Planning
  • Responsible for the development of detail implementation plan for the CJBL project based on the proposal timeline, and budget,
  • Responsible for the development of monthly targets and activities for the project.
  • Support partners develop detail implementation plans monthly and annually.

CJBL Project & Marketing Coordinator (Fixed Contract).  (Three positions for Lilongwe, Mulanje and Salima).
The Project & Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day running and implementation of the CJBL Project. He / She will report to the CJBL Project Manager and Programmed Directors respectively:
Responsibilities and Duties 
a. Project Management
  • Develops and coordinates implementation and evaluation of the CJBL project.
  • Develops daily plans and monitor operations of the project.
  • Works in partnership with the franchisees.
  • Identifies and report trends and priorities needed for the CJBL project.
  • Determines the gaps in service delivery and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Works collaboratively with farmers and communities.
  • Creates a database of companies for youth internship.
