About You:
To be part of this winning team, you need to meet the following requirements:
Minimum age of 21 years
Minimum arm reach of 212 cms on tip toes
Minimum high school education with fluency in written and spoken English
Excellent health and fitness
Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar
Outgoing personality with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a multinational team.

The role

To provide administrative support for the Procurement Manager / Leads and Contracts Administrators.

Key performance areas

Provide departmental support
  • Schedule meetings for the department with suppliers and clients
  • Schedule internal Procurement Department meetings
  • Take minutes at departmental meetings and distribute to meeting members
  • Assist with typing of procurement documentation and in the formatting of reports
  • Maintain the manual and electronic filing system
  • Capture procurement data on to the relevant accounting systems
  • Provide general departmental support
  • Provide departmental support in accordance with processes and procedures
  • Provide departmental support within the allocated time frame
Provide support in the procurement process
  • Route documentation for approval
  • Maintain a documentation routing register
  • Issue and receive tender documents
  • Open the tender documents
  • Issue purchase order / contract to the supplier and various internal departments
  • Follow up on acknowledgements of documentation from the relevant parties
  • Distribute close out letters to the suppliers on completion of project
  • Maintain package plans and assist in the maintenance of internal registers
  • Provide procurement support in accordance with processes and procedures
  • Provide procurement support within the allocated time frame

Your profile

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in procurement administration
  • The ability to perform the administrative functions attached to a specific job such as correspondence, documentation management and general administration
  • The ability to attend to finite detail whilst executing outputs to ensure the quality of service delivery
  • The ability to maintain work rate according to standards whilst operating under severe time and delivery constraints

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Monitoring Specialist to provide technical assistance and advisory in the areas of M&E aiming at ensuring that UNICEF Angola has access to timely and reliable information on the performance of the UNICEF-supported Child Protection programme in the areas of Birth Registration and Justice for Children; He/she will ensure that information be made available relate to progress in implementation as well as to the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of the intervention.

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Chief Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation in close coordination with Child Protection section.

Qualification:• An advanced university degree (Master's) in Social Sciences, Demography, Development Planning, Statistics or a directly-related technical field(s) is required.
• Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience at national and international levels in research and/or evaluation. Exposure to and understanding of the UNICEF supported MoRES framework is an asset;
• Specialized training in statistical methods and data management is considered an asset.
• Experience in reporting on qualitative and quantitative analytics;
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is an asset

Lead consultant to conduct a Market System Analysis of the building construction sector in Mozambique

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

To conduct a Market System Analysis of the building construction sector in Mozambique
“More, better and inclusive jobs in Cabo Delgado and Nampula Province – Harnessing the opportunities of Mozambique’s New Economy” is a new joint programme from the ILO, UNDP, UNIDO and UN Women, financed by the Sustainable Development Goals Fund.
The programme is seeking to recruit a lead consultant to conduct a Market Systems Analysis (MSA) of the building construction sector centred on Cabo Delgado Province, Mozambique. This analysis will aim to identify and better understanding the underlying constraints to pro-poor, job-rich growth. The MSA findings will inform the intervention models of the Programme, whose overall objective is to contribute to the creation of more and better jobs in local economies where large-scale extractive industry investments take place.
The selected consultant(s) will be responsible for leading the MSA exercise, over March/April to June 2015 (approximately 35 working days). As part of the assignment the consultant is expected to:
  • Elaborate a work plan to conduct the MSA
  • Carry-out initial consultations with ILO staff in Mozambique and the Lab team
  • Conduct initial secondary/desk research
  • Conduct field research, in collaboration with Programme staff
  • Analyse findings and write preliminary reports
  • Lead the organisation of and execute a MSA validation workshop with relevant stakeholders
  • Write a final MSA report
Ideal consultants would have:
  • Proven and practical knowledge of a market systems development approach (Making Markets Work for the Poor, M4P, or Value Chain Development), including leading analytical exercises.
  • Some exposure to the construction sector in Sub-Saharan Africa would be desirable.
  • Excellent writing communication and presentation skills
  • Capacity to produce high-quality written reports
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is required
