Reproductive Health/Family Planning Program Manager

Responsible for managing RH/FP interventions that: respond to community and individual needs, are low-cost and which demonstrate resiliency.  The RH/FP Program Manger will also help develop and disseminate appropriate communication products and messages designed to change behaviours.

3-5 yrs of demonstrated experience implementing reproductive health and family planning activities as at the community level.  Strong technical communication abilities and experience developing and disseminating products and messages related to RH/FP.  Bachelors degree in Nursing or MPH or a combination of relevant experience and education

WUSC is seeking qualified candidates for the USAD-funded PaMawa ndi Chinyamata project in Malawi.  The purpose of the project is to increase the adoption of positive behaviours related to climate change  adaptation and sexual reproductive health (SRH) and family planning among youth in Balaka, Machinga and Mangochi Districts.  The overall project goal is to improve quality of life through social and behaviour change communication targeted at youth to promote SRH and climate change resilience.  The duration of the project is 4 yrs, Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project and the selection of final applicants is subject to USAID approval 

Chief of Party (COF) 

A minimum of 7 yrs of supervisory work experience involving direct leadership and oversight of deliverables and staff, Experience managing a behaviour change communication program or project directed at youth, Demonstrated ability to achieve development outcomes for projects of a similar scale and scope, Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of development partners, particularly private sector stakeholders, Relevant experience in grant and contract management, Experience conducting monitoring, quality assurance of data, and adaptive management, Experience working with Malawi is preferred, Experience in cross-sector development program is an asset and Proficiency in one or more local languages is an asset
