Background
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Head of Transport in UNDP Malawi, the Driver provides reliable and safe driving services to UNDP staff and visitors ensuring highest standards of discretion and integrity, sense of responsibility, excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues. The Driver also demonstrates a client-oriented approach, courtesy, tact and ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving office vehicles on authorised assignments
- Effective pick-ups of documentation and personnel from different locations
- Ensure that the assigned vehicle is in good running condition, reporting any fault for immediate attention
- Efficient use of motor vehicle fuel, ensure that that fuel utilised is well reconciled with Mileage covered
- Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time
