Reporting to the Group Head of IT the Manager Group Core Banking System – (Finacle) will work closely with the IT Managers of Group Banks, infrastructure, channels and systems team(s) in an open and transparent way by providing regular updates on progress and responsible for timely delivery of work
Key result areas for the role will amongst others include:
- The development, integration and management of the core banking system (Finacle)
- Ensuring core banking system, across the group banks, delivers high quality operations and service experience for users
- Establishing, monitoring and management of service level agreements with internal and external service providers to ensure high availability of core banking system and related interfacing systems
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure seamless interface between Core Banking – Switch – other peripheral applications;
- Maintains, submit, tests and patches issues related to Core Banking System,
- Management and deployment of change requests owing to new products, services or interfaces,
- Provide expertise and technical support to other Group Banks on their decisions and planning;
- Provides support and resolution to end users on Core Banking related issues,
- Responsible for proper functioning of online replication, DR and scheduled processes like EOD/EOM/EOY
- Manage change control, patch deployment and various system updates/upgrades,
- Ensuring proper ‘handshake’ between Finacle and other delivery channels database for different transactions coming from different channels,
- Ensure security and compliance requirements are met in Core Banking System in line with the Group IT Security Policies

Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in hard core technical environment within a large IT department of a bank or banking solutions IT company
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing Finacle
- Exposure to switches, e- banking and interfacing experience is mandatory
- Good knowledge of Oracle database management
- Core Banking Uptime Monitoring and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Certification on Operating Windows and UNIX systems preferred
- Certification on RDBMS – Oracle preferred
- Certification on Core-Banking application (technical and functional)
