Vacancies at Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority


The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) is a statutory body established under the Communications Act (CAP 68:01) of the laws of Malawi, to regulate the provision of communication services in Malawi in the areas of telecommunication, broadcasting and postal services.
MACRA is inviting suitable persons to apply for the following position tenable at its Blantyre offices.
QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER (MA6)
Job purpose
The Quality Assurance Officer ensures that licensees adhere to minimum technical requirements as per their licence terms and conditions. The incumbent will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.
SPECTRUM MONITORING OFFICER (MA6)
Job purpose
The Spectrum Monitoring Officer ensures that as far as practicable spectrum users adhere to the terms and conditions of their spectrum licenses by way of monitoring spectrum usage using regulatory tools. The incumbent will report to the Spectrum Monitoring Manager
SPECTRUM PLANNING OFFICER (MA6)
Job purpose
The Spectrum Planning officer assists MACRA in accomplishing its objectives by contributing towards the efficient planning and usage of spectrum in order to maximize its economic benefits. The incumbent will report to the Spectrum Planning Manager.
Technology Manager (Grade MA4)
Job purpose
The Technology Manager ensures that information and computer systems effectively and efficiently meet MACRA’s needs and also provide operational support for and management of computer networks to ensure they run efficiently.
