ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Ensure completion of electrical, instrumentation and control systems’ maintenance
  • Ensure that electrical maintenances are carried out on plant equipment paying attention to quality and Health and Safety.
  • Contribute to the development of working methods and definition of procedures and ensure implementation thereof.
  • Optimise maintenance operations, using best available tools and procedures in order to maximise equipment availability.
  • Ensure proper day-to-day scheduling of works and necessary resources.
  • Reporting on repair jobs including consumption of materials, specific tools, man hours and skills, and fills equipment history files.
  • Participate in the yearly maintenance budget formulation.
  • Ensure on-going skills enhancement of his/her team’s employees, helping the development and implementation of training plans.
  • Ensure and controls quality of maintenance jobs from subcontractors
Experience and Qualification
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing industry.
  • Technical skills Knowledge of electrical maintenance operations and electronics especially PLC.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems (hardware and software)
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and motor circuits.
  • Local Safety rules and regulations.
ROAD SAFETY COORDINATOR
Job Purpose
Within the framework of the Health and Safety Departmental objectives and yearly action plans which he helps define, his missions are:
  • Provide effective health and safety management systems required for maintaining safe and healthy work environment it for optimum logistics and road transport operations in line with the Lafarge Holcim group Health and Safety Policy objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Safety Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Prepare and maintain logistics safety management operating systems, procedures and instructions in compliance with the LafargeHolcim Group Logistics Advisory.
  • Conduct a monthly self assessment to determine the BU’s compliance levels to the LafargeHolcim Group Logistics Advisory.
  • Drive the smooth implementation of the 3 Year Road Safety Strategy and track progress on monthly basis
  • Organize monthly safety meetings with RT contractors and drivers on safety performance and advisories compliance issues.
  • Plan and implement behavioural auditing, inspection schedules and road safety programmes for the Supply Chain team.
  • Advise management team on the relevant health and safety legislative requirements for road safety operations.
  • Conduct contractor audits and follow ups to ensure that all the actions arising out of the audit are fully implemented.
  • Prepare consolidated safety statistical analysis reports for management review and decision making on weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • Ensure that all contracted transport contractors adhere to the safety requirements as highlighted in the contracts and that contractor’s safety KPIs are reviewed on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct baseline audits as part of the prequalification process for prospective transport contractors.
  • Champion the Road Safety related Near Misses reporting and follow up program and compile the Road safety performance (Safety KPIs) of the BU
Experience and Qualification
  • Degree / Diploma in occupational health and safety management / Technical field.
  • At least five years experience in safety management role in a similar industry.
Technical skills
  • Knowledge and experience in risk management techniques.
  • Ability to plan and implement safety programmes.
  • Management skills.
  • Conversant with the local occupational health and safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Package
