FINCA International's Manager Development Program (MDP) offers a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to enter into the microfinance sector and gain experience in all aspects of microfinance operations from loan origination to branch management in one of our subsidiaries. Candidates will manage projects of strategic importance and have the opportunity to use their individual skills, knowledge and expertise to build institutional capacity and contribute to the strengthening and expansion of the subsidiary. Compensation includes basic salary, airfare, benefits and housing.
FINCA Malawi Manager Development Program
FINCA Malawi is looking for an experienced professional to lead efforts to analyze and improve operational and administrative processes within the subsidiary. The candidate's main responsibilities will be to work with local staff to identify, develop and implement process improvements that will ultimately drive efficiencies and improve FINCA Malawi's overall operations and delivery of products and services to its customers.
Ideal Background:
  • Experience in the application of Six Sigma methodology, preferably in a commercial, retail banking or other finance field; Greenbelt training and certification highly preferred.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent and 3 - 5 years work experience in commercial, retail banking or other finance field/MA or MBA desired but not required
  • Extensive experience with process mapping and process re-engineering required
  • Knowledge of Visio and other relevant software applications required
  • Previous field experience in developing countries required, preferably in the region of assignment
  • Study/initial work experience in the microfinance, finance and/or development fields highly desirable
