Blantyre Water Board is a govt owned institution established and reconstituted under the Waterworks Act of 1995 to supply potable water to people of Blantyre City and other surrounding areas, the Board is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following positions
Plant Operator
Must have Grade 2 National Trade Test Certificate Part 1 City and Guilds Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Must have MSCE, Must have at least 2 yrs experience in water treatment works, Must have knowledge of water treatment and operation of rotating electrical/mechanical equipment, Minimum age of 25 yrs, Must have excellent communication skills, Must have ability to exercise own initiative and judgment
Sales Supervisor - Re advertised
Minimum age of 25, Must be patient, polite and hardworking, Must be able to exercise own initiative and judgment, Must have 2 yrs experience, Must have wide knowledge of sales and marketing, Must have MSCE and a Diploma in Accounting
Undertaking random checks to ensure accuracy of meter readings taken by Sales Agents in designated walk-routes, making follow ups on disconnected accounts that stay disconnected for a period of 5 days, Taking meter readings from large consumers once every fortnight or as directed, Producing monthly sales reports, Updating all newly installed connections in the walk-routes every month and ensure customers are billed, Working hand in hand with customer service clerks to make sure customer queries are responded to within 7 days, Performing any other relevant and lawful duties as may be reasonably assigned by Billing Officer from time to time
