Post : Mobile X-ray Van Coordinator
Grade : I
Reports to : Care and Treatment Officer
Location : Lilongwe/Mzuzu/Blantyre/Zomba/Mangochi
Overall responsibilities:
The MobiIe X-ray Van Coordinator: under guidance from the Care and Treatment Officer in the National Tuberculosis Control Program, is responsible for coordination, mobilization, screening for TB (in the High risk population) and overall management of the mobile van activities. S/He is also responsible for proper administration of SOPs prepared for this purpose.
Duties:
- Organise, plan and schedule for daily TB screening activities within specified locations.
- Organise, train and allocate duties to team members before, during and after TB screening sessions
- Oversee the TB screening process, including patient flow, organization and management of the screening facility.
- Prepare monthly , quarterly and annual plan for Mobile van activities
- Undertake implementation of TB screening as planned
- Work closely with zonal and district TB officers
- Compile monthly reports as per the outline provided by M&E team
- Assist in interpretation of radiological and lab results
- Ensures proper linkage with nearby health facility for patient referral
Qualifications/Experience:
- Applicants should be serving health professionals at (Grade l) with four years experience working with the Ministry of Health.
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine, Nursing from a recognised institution.
- Two years’ experience above in clinical service for TB and HIV patients
- Good understanding of basic monitoring and evaluation concepts,
- Understanding and familiarity of public health issues.
- Specific TB knowledge is desirable
- Ability to travel up to 40 % of the time within the regions.

Overall responsibilities:
The mobile van community mobilizer under guidance from mobile van coordinator is responsible for mobilizing the community and provision of information to the public within a specific location before, during and after mobile van operations. S/He is also responsible for proper administration of Standard Operating Procedures prepared for this purpose.

Duties:
- Mobilize the public targeted for ACF in urban setting.
- Organise, register and control the persons selected for TB screening at the site where mobile van is stationed.
- Undertake symptomatic TB screening for targeted population
- Facilitate provision of service in the mobile vans
- Directing patients, facilitate referrals within and between mobile van and health facilities
- Assist in compilation of monthly reports
