Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is looking for three full time Sign Language Interpreters (communication). The Sign Language Interpreters will be responsible for facilitation and conveying auditory and signed information to the deaf through and other programmes on Malawi Television.
Minimum requirements
- Malawi School Certificate of Education.
- Those with higher education qualifications will have an added advantage
- Certificate in Malawi Sign language interpretation from a recognised body or association
- Proficiency in sign language interpretation
- Fluent in Malawi sign language
- Ability to adapt to new emerging signs
- Ability to communicate in both English and Chichewa
- Knowledge of code of ethics and sign language interpretation
- Five years experience in sign language interpretation ability to work during odd hours with minimum supervision
- Well groomed with good presentation skills.
