Illovo Sugar Malawi PLC’s Nchalo operations situated 80 km South of Blantyre invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following position of Irrigation Electrical Engineer in Agriculture Department-Irrigation
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered member of the Malawi Board of Engineers
- 10 years experience in a heavy industry with heavy power usage
- Experience in power transmission and distribution is a must
Duties Responsibilities
- Manages the maintenance of all Irrigation/Estate Electrical power Equipment/Plant i e. Transformers, Motors, Panels, Overheads lines.
- Designs Power requirements for all projects expansion on the Estate Controls power Consumption (Maximum Demand) for the Estate as per agreement with Escom
- Manages domestic power supply and maintenance of electrical installations and fittings
- Manages and leads the Irrigation Electrical Section
- Leads in the implementation of safety standards and procedures in all electrical works and power usage on the Estate
