UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Communication Specialist (Out-of-School Children Initiative)  for an will act as the focal point to lead on communication and advocacy efforts around OOSCI, working closely with colleagues in the UNICEF Education Section, Division of Communication, participating country offices, donors and partners of the programme.

Qualifications:
• Advanced University degree in international relations, communication, journalism, or related fields;
• At least five years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in international development, communication, print, broadcast, and/or new media;
• Experience developing and implementing communication strategies;
• Excellent English writing and editing skills, knowledge of another UN language a plus;
• Interest in education and gender equality essential, experience in developing countries a plus;
• Demonstrated success in networking and working in a team;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
