Project Manager - Mozambique

Duty Station: Pemba – Mozambique
Period: 12 months
Starting Date: November1st, 2014
Main objective: Coordinate the implementation of projects, mainly in the socio-educational area in the province of Cabo Delgado in Mozambique:
  • Contribute to improving the quality of educational services (especially primary school and professional training) in the Province of Cabo Delgado in close collaboration with local authorities through the development of new projects, operational plans and monitoring;
  • Promote and enhance socio educational, recreational and cultural needs of children and adolescents by strengthening civil society initiatives;
  • Vocational training and initiation to the world of work.
Reporting to: Country Representative
Specific duties:
  • Coordinate the implementation of socio-educational projects in accordance with defined in the operational plans;
  • Supervise the level of expenditure and the administrative management of the provincial headquarters;
  • Maintain and develop relationships with donors, local authorities, civil society;
  • Contribute to provide inputs to the communication focal point;
  • Elaboration of internal and external reporting.
Essential Requirement:
  • Degree in humanistic disciplines;
  • Previous experience in Developing Countries;
  • excellent knowledge of English and Portuguese.
