Intern
The Intern will support the Project Coordinator and
Mangochi ADDRMO in supervising, monitoring, reporting and systematizing program
activities.
Position is based in Mangochi District.
Duties and
Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Programme Coordinator,
the intern will: Support the Programme Coordinator in monitoring the project
through collection of data; Share with the Project Coordinator all needed
information, also through progress reports; Support the project in terms of
reporting, systematization of data, communication and visibility activities; Undertake
other duties whenever deemed necessary by the Programme Coordinator; Monitoring
and support all the DRR activities in VCPCs and ACPCs working with ADDRMO and
COOPI; Facilitating and supporting the trainings of VCPCs and ACPCs in Climate
Change and Disaster Risk management concepts; Support the ADDRMO in development
of activities at district level; Any other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator
or the Mangochi ADDRMO.
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative
individual with: previous knowledge of Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster
Risk Management; analytical and practical problem-solving skills; strong
supervisory abilities and demonstrated capacity of teamwork; adequate
resilience to stress; strong commitment to follow the rules and procedures of
the organization; good inter-personal and writing communication skills; organize
work efficiently and deliver assignments in a timely manner often under time
constraints; computer literacy, with high proficiency in the use of standard
office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint); Valid Motor bike driving license.
