Post: Environmental Health Officer (Grade I/PO)

Responsible to: Principal Environmental Health Officer (Grade G/P7)
Location: Various Health facilities under the Ministry of Health
Qualifications
Applicants be either serving Senior Environmental Health Officer (Grade J/STO) and Assistant Environmental Health Officer (Grade K/TO) who have Obtained either Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health or Bachelor of Science in Public Health or Non-serving who are holders of Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from reputable training institutions.
Duties
The successful candidates will perform the following duties:-

- Proposing relevant projects and programmes of Public Health interest in the District and prepare budget estimates for Environmental Health activities in the District.
- Mobilize necessary resources for Environmental Health activities in the District.
- Monitor and Evaluate Environmental Health activities in the district.
- Appraise and supervise Area Environmental Health Officers.
- Communicate and interpret Environmental Health policies.
- Conducting training needs assessment of Environmental Health staff in the District.
- Acting as Health Management Information System focal person.
- Facilitate the overall process of collecting, analyzing, disseminating the information and making their sufficient use in the planning and management of health services in the District.

- Documentary evidence of current registration with Medical Council of Malawi shall be required during the interview.
