Programme Officer – Rural
Reporting to the Programme Coordinator – Rural, this position is responsible for programme development, implementation and monitoring in assigned rural geographical areas within the Sustainable Delivery Programme. The PO will take the lead in supporting partners to ensuring efficient, and effective project management covering key aspects of implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting in line with Sustainable Delivery Programme and WaterAid quality standards.
Programme Coordinator – Urban & Small Towns
Reporting to the Programme Manager – Sustainable Delivery Programme, this is a position with a responsibility for programme planning, co-ordination, management, monitoring and implementation for the urban aspect of the programme. He/she will lead in implementing WASH interventions through various partners to ensure efficient and effective project management including policy aspects.
Policy & Sector Engagement Coordinator
Reporting to the Programme Manager – Sector Engagement and Influencing (SEI), the Coordinator — Policy and Sector Engagement takes responsibility for the planning, coordination and management of sector engagement interventions as guided by the SEI – and SHAP programmes. This role works in close collaboration with the Advocacy and Campaigns Coordinator to ensure an integrated approach
Technical Specialist
Reporting to the Programme Manager – Sustainable Delivery Programme, the Technical Specialist will be responsible for providing leadership and advisory for all Programme and project engineering works, supporting the Country Programme and its partners to meet high quality infrastructure standards.
Senior Finance Officer – Partner Operations
Reporting to the Head of Finance & ICT, the Senior Finance Officer – Partner Operations will support the Head of Finance & ICT in all strategic financial management support activities for WaterAid Malawi partner organisations. This position is a finance lead on all partnership management processes for WaterAid Malawi in line with the Partnership Strategy. The position MI ensure that risks to WaterAid emanating from partnerships are kept to acceptable levels, in line with WaterAid policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for systematic strategic support on capacity development of partner organisations on financial management including promotion of best practices
Hygiene Behavioural Change Specialist
Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the Hygiene Behavioural Change (NBC) Specialist will be responsible for providing technical leadephip in the conceptualisation, assessment, design, development and implementation of strategies and normative guidelines for WaterAid Malawi’s hygiene promotion, influencing and integration initiatives. The HBC Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of hygiene programming in WaterAid and among partners. S/he will initiate and manage programmes and project support, capacity development for WaterAid and partners staffs, monitoring, review, research and evaluation in order to develop best practice approaches that draw on programmatic learning and ensure quality programming related to hygiene behaviour change
Communication Specialist
Reporting to the Head of Programme Quality Assurance & Accountability, the Communication Specialist will be responsible for helping to achieve overall country programme aims through developing and implementing an effective, targeted communications strategy. The Specialist will ensure that communications is an intrinsic part of the country’s ‘programme led approach’ and that communications strategies are built into all initiatives from the outset, through working closely with, and building external communication skills in, programme and funding teams. In addition, the role will be responsible for promoting and strengthening the WaterAid’s profile, amplifying key messages on media platforms and helping to influence decision-makers and donors

Programme Manager – Sustainable Delivery Programme
Reporting to the Head of Programmes the Programme Manager will be responsible for overall development, coordination and management of the Sustainable Delivery Programme, which comprises the rural and urban work. The Programme Manager will ensure that programme interventions and partnerships remain relevant and influence policy, practice and systems across sectors at local council and national levels, working closely with the Sector Engagement and Influencing (SEI) Programme and the Sanitation and Hygiene Advancement Programme (SNAP).
