To mobilize businesses in the fight against malnutrition and to ensure that the best nutrition-enhancing ideas in agriculture get to scale and reach populations at risk, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) has pioneered the Marketplace for Nutritious Foods. Through technical and financial assistance, networking, and knowledge sharing, the Marketplace helps local entrepreneurs bring their innovations from along the agricultural value chain to market. The Marketplace aims to get companies investment-ready and facilitates access to external investors to further grow the participating businesses and their nutrition impact.
GAIN is looking for a highly organized and motivated individual to support the Marketplace Project Manager in ensuring timely delivery of project activities and will also provide general support to the GAIN country office as required.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in providing project support and experience of grantee management is highly desirable. Previous experience of working with the private sector is required and an appreciation of the business context in Mozambique is desirable. The ideal candidate must be able prioritise a heavy workload and work well under pressure. Fluency in English and Portuguese is essential.
The position is for an initial period of one year, but with the potential to be extended by an additional year, based on performance and the availability of funding.
