Position Summary:
Winrock International is currently recruiting Monitoring and Evaluation Manager candidates for the anticipated Feed the Future Mozambique Climate Smart Agriculture (FTF CSA) Activity-Nacala Corridor. This will be a multi-year, $16 million cooperative agreement seeking to increase agricultural productivity in the Nacala corridor (Nampula and Zambezia provinces) by increasing resilience climate change for smallholder farmers, sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and incomes, and adapting and building resilience of agricultural and food systems to climate change, reducing or removing greenhouse emissions where appropriate. The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager position will be based in Mozambique and is subject to a project award being made to Winrock International.
Major Responsibilities:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will be responsible for developing a robust monitoring and evaluation system with qualitative and quantitative measurement tools that meets the requirement of the Feed the Future Monitoring System.
Qualifications and Background:
Education:
- Master’s degree that includes use of quantitative research methods.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively professional experience in ME&L in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment, applying strong inter-personal, organizational, and technical skills;
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, design and application of methods and strategies to produce, analyze and use data, and share/communicate information with a variety of actors in different environments;
- Experience within or specific to Mozambique strongly preferred;
- Previous project experiences working with the Feed the Future monitoring and evaluation system.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong inter-personal skills such as communication, negotiation, representational and program/project management and coordination;
- Quantitative and qualitative MEL design and implementation skills;
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Language:
- Fluency in English and Portuguese.
