The National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) was established in 1999 to manage the country’s Strategic Grain Reserves. Its head office is at Kanengo in Lilongwe. The Agency is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position of Depot Manager at Kanengo Depot in Lilongwe.

Purpose of the Job : To Manage Depot activities

Specific Main Duties
1. Managing grain stocks in silos and warehouses.
2. Providing guidance on operational procedures, guidelines and regulations.
3. Overseeing activities of satellite depots.
4. Ensuring that accountable documents are securely stored and managed.
5. Ensuring that stock records are properly generated and filed.
6. Interpreting and implementing the labour laws, workplace health and safety provisions and conditions of service.
7. Developing and implementing budgets and work plans.
8. Managing petty cash.

Qualifications
- At least a Degree in Agriculture (either General Agriculture or Crop protection)
Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant field
