Nutrition Facilitators (22 positions- Lilongwe & Dowa)
World Relief is an International Christian NGO working in health, economic development, disaster response, and refugee resettlement. World Relief’s mission is empowering local churches to serve the most vulnerable. World Relief Malawi is anticipating a grant that will support the government of Malawi through the Department of Nutrition, HIV and AIDS (DNHA) to promote nutrition specific and nutrition sensitive interventions, aiming at reducing stunting over a period of 4 years by focusing on children aged 0-23 months and pregnant and lactating women in Lilongwe and Dowa Districts.
World Relief, through the Chiyambi Chabwino Nutrition project, will collaborate with key stakeholders that are already implementing some of the SUN interventions and coordinate with Lilongwe and Dowa District councils to saturate all the SUN Movement high impact interventions to almost every household in the targeted Traditional Authorities. World Relief, therefore invites applications from Interested and qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions tenable in Lilongwe and Dowa Districts

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Program coordinator, the Nutrition Supervisor will be responsible for community mobilization and awareness creation and delivery of Chiyambi Chabwino Project Interventions through the Care Group approach The Supervisor will lead in the identification of community Mentors and Ouster leaders and formation of CLANs and Care Groups within their target communities and promote learning and adoption of nutrition skills and practices that will contribute to the reduction of child stunting and maternal anemia.
Reporting to the Program coordinator, the Nutrition Supervisor will be responsible for community mobilization and awareness creation and delivery of Chiyambi Chabwino Project Interventions through the Care Group approach The Supervisor will lead in the identification of community Mentors and Ouster leaders and formation of CLANs and Care Groups within their target communities and promote learning and adoption of nutrition skills and practices that will contribute to the reduction of child stunting and maternal anemia.
Specific Functions
• Facilitate community mobilization and project awareness creation to ensure effective roll out of interventions.
• Facilitate identification of Community Mentors, Cluster Leaders and formation of CLANS and Care Groups.
• Assist the Nutrition coordinator in planning and coordinating activities of Care Groups and provide mentorship and technical assistance to the community Mentors.
• Facilitating trainings of Frontline workers and community Mentors and offer support to rolling out of trainings to ClANS and Volunteers
• Ensure program quality through regular monitoring of activities and ensunng compliance to standard procedures in health and nutrition education and sessions on Infant and Young Child Feeding Practices and skills.
• Collaborate with the DHO through Hearth Centre personnel to implement bi annual Child Health Days
• Support community mentors and Cluster Leaders in the development of bi-weekly/ activity plans and reports.
• Collaborate with and support frontline workers and CLANs in the implementation of nutrition related interventions carried out at a community level.
• Collaborate with and support agricultural Extension workers in the target community to implement nutrition related interventions mainly in food processing, preservation, preparation and production of nutrient rich crops for household consumption
• Ensure that commurty mentors and Cluster Leaders have necessary tools to facilitate their work.
• participate in review meetings, MgiE activities and bi-weekly Care Group meetings.
• Ensure Monthly reports, budgets and Indicator Perfomance Tracking Tables are completed and submitted to the project coordinator for consolidation.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by their supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in Nutrition or Agnculture/Nursing/Public Hearth/Rural
development
• At least a minimum of three (3) years practical experience in nutrition
dealing with communities.
• Good working expenence in Community mobilization, Care Group approach and participatory rural appraisal.
• Good budgeting and reporting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy.
• Commitment to World Relief values
