Chief Executive Officer

Is directly responsible for attaining all established bank operational and strategic goals
Responsible for the overall direction and leadership of the Bank, Ensuring that the bank achieves financial goals consistent with Shareholders’ expectations, Motivating staff and maintaining a healthy working environment and ensuring that the bank is always thriving to providing world class service to its customers, Reporting to the Board of Directors as the highest ranking officer of the bank, Providing the highest level of customer relations and service, Ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures as well as those of the regulatory and supervisory authorities
Management of strategic risks in line with objectives and goals as designated and approved by the bank’s Board of Directors, Ensuring structured approach in the Management of the following key risks of the Bank, Strategic, Credit, Market, Operational, People, Compliance and IT, Developing long term sustainable strategic plans, Ensuring the Board of Directors is fully informed on the conditions and operations of the Bank and the important factors influencing operations and decisions made by management, Recommending annual program goals to the Board of Directors, ensure an ongoing evaluation system related to such goals is in place and that reports of progress are provided to the Board of Directors on a regular basis, Executing all decisions of the Board, Carrying out such other duties that the Board of Directors may require from time to time, Demonstrating visible leadership by living the banks values at all times and inculcate the same in all members of staff, Formulating targets for executive management and heads of division, monitoring, and appraising the performance of all executive officers and heads of divisions of the bank and providing the necessary coordination between activities, Representing the Bank in community, civic, community reinvestment functions, Responsible for compliance with all applicable banking laws and regulations
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position, The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner

MBA or Masters Degree in Banking or Finance or Economics, Minimum of 10 yrs of senior management experience in the banking industry, Mastered knowledge of banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies, mastered knowledge of banking processes, policies and procedures, and the banking products and services, Exceptional organization skills with the ability to provide leadership, supervision and training to the executive and senior management team using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity, demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills, Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, Thorough understanding of management procedures, ability to plan Bank activities (setting objectives, developing strategies, budgeting and developing policies and procedures); initiative to organize various functions necessary to accomplish Bank activities, Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non standardized situations
