Temporary Sales Clerks


Smallholder Farmers Fertilizer Revolving Fund of Malawi (SFFRFM) invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to apply for the positions of Temporary Sales Clerks tenable at our Satellite Depots in the Southern, Central and Northern Regions.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to The Regional Manager, the Temporary Sales Clerks shall among other things perform and be responsible for the following:
  • Conducting sales of fertilizer and ensuring that cash sales with correct information are issued to customers.
  • Receiving and storing fertilizers efficiently and professionally.
  • Taking charge of all satellite depot operations.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date stock records.
  • Compiling and indexing in a clear manner all documentation on a day-to-day basis.
  • Preparing daily sales summary.
  • Assisting customers to buy the right type of fertilizer and advising them on application methods.
  • Practising good customer.
  • Making administrative decisions for handy men and security guards under his/her control including duty roster for in full liaison with the Regional Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The desired candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
MSCE Certificate with at least grade 7 passes in Mathematics and English;
• Professional certificate in Marketing, or Accounting, or Sales, or any related field from a reputable institution.
• At  least two years experience in  a similar environment.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
• Should be between 25 – 35 years old.
• Should be honest and of sober habits.
• Should have interpersonal skills.
• Should be competent in counting and handling cash.
• Should be a self starter who can work with minimum supervision.
• Should be ready to work at odd hours and under intensive pressure.
• Should not have any criminal record.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE
An attractive package on a short term contract will be offered to the successful candidate based on qualifications and experience.
