Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following position tenable in Blantyre:

Senior Service AdvisorBlantyre
Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and supervision to Service Advisors to ensure maximum adherence to the Service Department Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), achievement of service targets and customer satisfaction.
Key Result Areas:
  • Supervise Service Advisors’ performance and punctuality as well as team spirit.
  • Assist Service Manager on front office matters.
  • Ensure speedy job card write-up, maintenance and repair through clear identification of customer needs and accurate job card preparation as well as constant customer update while vehicle is under Toyota Malawi Custody.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the service department contributes to customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer care & strengthening customer relationships for both existing customers and prospective clients.
  • Utilize the service appointment system to maximize the facility and manpower capacity as well as reduce no show rate.
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness through use of vehicle protection materials (Seat covers, floor mats and use of all service tools provided as per SOP).
  • Provide clear cost estimates, monitor the work progress and keep customers informed of additional work done, changes to cost and completion times.
  • Promotion of Kaizen activities to enhance continuous Business growth.
  • Daily feedback of Cash clearing and WIP report to the Service Manager.
  • Actively promote the services and benefits of the distributor service and parts departments to all customers.
  • Report all comebacks to the Service Manager and workshop Foreman and update the comeback register.
  • Take all necessary actions to address, resolve & follow-up all customer complaints in the shortest possible time.
  • Strictly use current “Standard Operating Procedure for Reception Process” to take appointments.
  • Ensure all warranty work has been identified and signed for by customer.
Candidates must meet the following minimum academic qualifications and competencies:
  • A Diploma in Business or any related field
  • At least 3 years’ service experience within the motor industry
  • High product knowledge as well as offering product solutions to customers
  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Time Management Skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Customer first and quality focus
