Information Technology Manager
Qualifications & Experience
This position is tenable at our head office in Blantyre. The ideal candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or its equivalent. They should also have not less than ten years’ post qualification experience as a head of department at a senior management level preferably in a multinational corporation
They must also have experience of working with senior management teams assisting them to articulate their business strategy and plans and creating an ICT Strategy for busy organisations.

Job Role
The successful person will be reporting to the Finance Director and will be responsible for the following:
- Directing all IT operations and IT staff as well as the support, maintenance, improvement, and development of technology infrastructure.
- Overseeing the development, implementation, and use of technology in the company in liaison with management and regional teams and Implement best practices.
- Supporting and maintaining technical issues, providing hands on technical support and project management as required, with a deep focus on strategy.
- Managing the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications and other peripherals.
- Developing standard operating procedures and best practices, and guidance to IT staff and to end-users.
- Developing and implementing all IT policies and procedures, Including those for security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.
- Ensuring the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
- Managing outside vendor relationships to select and de-select external resources which will accelerate achievement of department and business goals.
- Managing financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review.
