Insurance Advisors (Several Positions across Several Districts)

Britam Malawi is one of the fastest growing general insurance companies. To consolidate its growth momentum, Britam Malawi seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Insurance Advisors.
The Job
The Insurance Advisors will operate as agents, not employees, for the marketing and selling of Britam’s general insurance products to prospects, and also providing excellent customer service. Remuneration will be based on commission calculated as a percentage of the premium collected. The Insurance Advisors will be deployed to Britam’s branches in Blantyre, Lilongwe, Mzuzu and Zomba, and to satellite offices located in Kasungu, Mangochi and Limbe.
Key Responsibilities will, among others, include:
- Marketing and selling Britam products and services.
- Prospecting new customers and providing leads to established the Sales Team.
- Initiating and closing sales deals
- Helping customers completing proposal forms.
- Distributing promotion materials 6) Facilitating premium collection
- Writing sales call reports to the Corporate Sales Executive
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Insurance, Banking, Hospitality, Teaching, Business Management, or related field.
- Demonstrated good written and oral communication skills
- Experience in sales as an added advantage
- Certificate of proficiency as an added advantage
