HR Coordinator

Main Purpose of the job

To support the HR Director in achieving the HR team’s strategic objectives, as set out in the HR Strategic Action Plan by acting as the HR lead on a range of different projects and responsibilities. 

Competencies and other Qualities

  • In depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods and best practises.
  • Ability to work on own intiative and under pressure
  • Solid understanding of research methods and analysis
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Experience in project management preferably HR related
  • Experience of performance management and working within defined policies and procedures.
  • An analytic mind with good problem solving skills
  • A team player
  • Sound interpersonal skills with an ability to influence people, processes and outcomes.
  • Numeracy skills with ability to control and manage a large budget.
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills
  • Knowledge of HR management information systems and tools
Education and Qualifications

  • University Degree from a recognized institution in Human Resource Management, Masters in HRM or HRD qualification(s) will be an added advantage.
  • 8-10 years experience as an HR Generalist with HR Business partnering and Consulting experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.

Job Responsibilities

  • Line Management responsibility for 2 HR Business Partners covering core HR functions across different business functions and geographical regions.
  • Ensuring that HR Business Partners are well supported to ensure HR Best Practices are being followed and entrenched.
  • To support the effective delivery of a higher performing HR service, through the further development of HR Business Partners, ensuring that the high standards within the team are developed and maintained.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the HR Business Partner model, actively driving up standards to highlight the benefits of the model for all staff and managers. 
  • Integrating effective HR Processes, program and practices into daily operations.
  • Perform HR internal reviews and audit of current systems and policies for improvement.
  • Perform quality assurance checks into HR processes and systems.
  • Lead HR Related projects to ensure accurate delivery.
  • Assist HR Director in devising HR plans and techniques to drive managing performance and workplace culture.
  • Assist HR Director to establish control systems and make modifications to address HR processes.
  • Assist the HR Director in reviewing staff reward processes and to design an effective system that recognises excellent performance in terms of Pay for Performance (P4P).
  • Work with HR Business Partners to analyse job positions, conduct job evaluation processes and manage the Company’s job grading system
  •  Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the HR Director.
  • Analyse and propose any solutions for HR Improvement
