About the Job:
Fides is seeking a Microfinance Bank Manager. S/he will be responsible for the creation and the development of a new rural microfinance institution. S/he will work closely with the FIDES management team at the headquarter.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Management of a strong growth path leading to a sustainable institution well established in market;
- Capacity building of a new team;
- Management and leadership of a team;
- Implementation of business plan including achievement of key performance indicators;
- Transformation of microbank into a full-fledge bank envisaged after two years;
- Reporting to board of directors, audit committee, and shareholders;
- compliance with law of Mozambique, requirements of supervisory authorities and norms of operation policy guidelines;
- Further development of strategy of institution.
Qualifications:
- Masters or equivalent degree;
- At least 5 years of experience in financial institution (Bank, MFI, FI);
- Experience in microfinance operations in a developing country;
- At least 5 years in a management positions;
- Proven track record in microfinance projects/institutions in challenging environments;
- Hands-on experience in microfinance and in financial management;
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Problem solver, leadership by example;
- High level of integrity;
- Willingness to work in rural areas and to be present in field;
- Excellent English language skills. Portuguese would be a plus, at least ability to learn Portuguese quickly;
- Understanding of and commitment to mission and values of FIDES Bank.
