SUMMARY
Develops, coordinates and executes training programs in classroom and also online according to the programs established in the annual training calender in collaboration with line managers. Conduct research and implement specialized training classes and evaluate and adjusts current training programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assists the Regional Training manager in identifying common regional training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups discussions and customers to enable the training team develop the required training interventions materials.
  2. Assists the Regional Training manager in developing terms of reference for training materials development and in identifying subject matter experts to work with curriculum development specialist to develop and  or deliver the required training.
  3. Leading events planning, management and execution of logistics for all regional training courses.
  4. Liaise with subsidiary management boards, line managers and subject matter experts to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand FINCA business and operations, regulations, policies and procedures.
  5. Provide administrative and organizational support for FDA training and FDA related activities such as enrolment, publication, module development, planning, preparation and implementation of pre – post testing and or professional certification processes.
  6. Act as a trainer at FDA trainings according to the agreed schedule and or by the direction Regional Training Manager and in collaboration with the Training and development managers at subsidiary level
  7. Support students registration through the Learning management system and add users
  8. Train and support students, supervisors and other users in navigating the learning management system.
  9. Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
  10. Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
  11. Select and assign instructors, subject matter experts, line managers to conduct training
  12. Facilitate the execution of all training plans as per the training calender prepared at the beginning of every year.
  13. Periodically evaluate the effectiveness of the training’s conducted.
  14. Monitor training costs to ensure budget is not exceeded and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures

    QUALIFICATIONS
     Proven ability to complete full training cycle ( assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  1. Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups and the measurement of training effects
  2. Knowledge of human behavior and performance management; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; principles and practices of management
  3. Knowledge of recent developments, current literature and information related to training

     Education & Experience             
  1. 4 – 5 years of experience in coordinating training events in a corporate setting

  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Adult Education, HR, Training or related field

  3. Certified as a Trainer of Trainers

    Language Skills

    Fluency in English and Local language
     
    Computer Skills                                                     
    Proficient in the Microsoft Office products.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
     Availability to travel 50 %of the time
     ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    This position will be based in any of the following countries; Malawi, Tanzania or Zambia. Applicants must be citizens or must have work authorization for any of the three (3) countries. Applicants seeking to be based in Tanzania must speak and write Swahili in addition to English.
