Senior Analyst

Responsibilities:  The Senior Analyst will lead and support assignments typically focussed on the technical support to clients on digital financial services / mobile money / financial inclusion. Providing consulting services / technical assistance to a range of large banks, business correspondents and MNOs to enable greater consumer awareness of branchless/agency banking and mobile banking services and to accelerate and scale-up adoption. Work with and support government departments to enable roll-out of direct benefit transfers. Extensive research on consumer needs and aspirations; and gaps in products/services available in the assigned districts, using qualitative / PRA techniques and well as quantitative techniques. Developing, monitoring and managing high quality agent networks for digital financial service providers. Collaborating with banks in developing, testing and rolling out enhanced/new products aligned to the consumer needs. Assist with the review and quality control of training courses delivered, research papers prepared, curriculum developed and technical assistance provided to clients Conduct performance appraisal and feedback sessions of the staff members who are aligned to them. Represent MicroSave at workshops, seminars and conferences as necessary. Qualifications and Competencies: Academic/ professional qualifications: Masters level degree ( or higher)  in Banking/Business Administration/Accounting/Economics/Sociology or related field Other relevant professional qualifications in line with areas of specialization Experience At least 5-7 years’ experience in Financial Inclusion, Mobile Money, Digital Financial Services Experience in banking, telecom companies and/or consulting Skills and competences: Ability to lead assignments and teams and work with minimal supervision A strong field orientation and proven inter personal skills Leadership skills, decision-making skills, problem-solving skills, and people-management skills Excellent spoken and written English Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel and a working knowledge of email and internet
