Nation Publications Limited (NPL), a multi-award winning and leading media house, is looking for passionate, dedicated and hardworking individuals to join its vibrant and innovative Editorial Team as News Analysts.
The position of News Analyst requires highly focused and motivated individuals who are able to apply advanced reporting skills in the news gathering process. We are looking for News Analysts who have proven ability in speaking and writing in English for all NPL brands.
Job Summary
The News Analysts for re-writes will monitor global news events to produce relevant stories and analysis for NPL’s print brands and digital platforms. They will also be expected to string together unfolding news events for running stories.
Applicants with experience working for international press have an added advantage. The News Analyst must have excellent knowledge of global and local affairs
The position is tenable at our Blantyre office The job holders shall be reporting to the Re-write Editor.
Required competences are as follows:

- Be innovative and creative;
- Have excellent analytical skills and be able to churn out news and feature articles from academic papers and other technical reports,
- Have strong interpersonal skills;
Qualifications and experience for both positions
- Candidates must have a Degree in Journalism or Mass Communication or related fields
- With at least two years of active reporting experience and MSCE with strong credit in English subject.
