Title of Post: Draughting Assistant
Grade: M
Location: In all Regional Water Development Offices.
Qualifications
- Applicants should be holders of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with credits in Mathematics, Physical Science and Geography. Those with knowledge of Technical Drawing will have an added advantage.
Duties
- Under the direction of the Draughtsman or Design Engineer to trace Water Project Construction Drawings.
- Trace pipe line plans including maps aerial photographs.
- Maintain up to date 1/50,000 maps of Malawi.
- Plot and record up to date information on maps of each project.
- Responsible for printing of field hand — books
- Any other duties as directed from time to time in the compilation of data and preparation of plans.
Water Monitoring Assistants - Grade M (Several Posts nationally)

Title of Post: Water Monitoring Assistant
Grade: M
Location: District Water Development Offices.
Qualifications
- Applicants should be holders of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent with credits in Mathematics, Physical Science, Biology, Agriculture or Geography.
Duties
- Sensitise and mobiles communities in water and sanitation activities and disseminate gender, hygiene, sanitation and health (including HIV and AIDS) messages.
- Facilitate the establishment and sustenance of Local Extension workers coordination Committees, Village Health and Water Committees (VHWC) and Water Points Committee (WPCs).
- Collect, analyze and report data on water supply and sanitation.
- Facilitate participatory water site selection.
- Monitor Community financial management for operation and maintenance activities.
Water Assistants - Grade M (Several Posts nationally)

Title of Post: Water Assistant
Grade: M
Location: District Water Development Offices.
Qualifications
Applicants should be holders of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with credits in Mathematics, Physical Science and Geography. Those with certificate in Plumbing will have an added advantage.
Duties
- To programme and make pipelines in rural areas.
- To direct and supervise water pipe laying.
- To conduct and maintain aprons and washing slabs.
- To assist and organizing and functioning of rural water supply communities.
- To order stores for use in the construction and maintenance of water pipes.
