Proposal Objective
SI is planning to bid on a performance evaluation of the Environmental and Natural Resource Management (ENRM) Project in the MCC Malawi Compact. The ongoing ENRM project’s objective is to reduce costly disruptions and ensure the sustainability and increase efficiency of Malawi’s hydropower generation. The evaluation will be looking at the ENRM Project as whole, and selected individual grants awarded and implemented under the ENRM and the Social and Gender Enhancement Fund Activity grant facility.
Position Description:
SI is seeking a Qualitative Methods Expert for the MCC Evaluation Design and Implementation Services, Environmental and Natural Resource Management (ENRM) Project in Malawi. The Qualitative Methods Expert will be responsible for integrating qualitative methods into the evaluation design. The period of performance will be one year, with the possibility of four option years.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or higher in economics, business, policy, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in research and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative data analysis, providing oversight of data collection activities, and designing evaluation tools.
- Knowledge and experience of qualitative data analysis techniques to process and organize large amounts of data.
- Experience with qualitative research methods and longitudinal studies in the environmental sector.
- Experience in Malawi or Sub-Saharan Africa required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English required.
