Job Summary:
Abt Associates seeks a Project Assistant / Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to support the Clinical HIV/AIDS Services Strengthening project in Sofala, Manica and Tete (CHASS-SMT) in Mozambique.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support in routine data collection and district integrated planning (PES);
  • Build capacity of SDSMAS and HF in routine data collection, analysis and use in planning and decision making for quality improvement of health services;
  • Provide technical support in complete and quality introduction of health programmatic data (HIS – Módulo Básico) and establish data Quality Assurance mechanisms (e.g. Data Quality Assessments);
  • Provide technical support to NEPD-SDSMAS teams during supervision visits to HFs to monitor, assess and improve HIS organization and use (both paper-based and electronic system);
  • Train district supervision teams and HF technical staff in QI activities;
  • Ensure local data communication, in a timely, precise and complete manner;
  • Provide technical support in managing IT systems at HF level;
  • Conduct other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
( 3+ ) years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
