Reporting to Administration Director
In liaison with the Senior Human Resource Officer, the Human Resource Officer will handle all human resource related matters including participating in recruitment, handling disciplinary hearings, overseeing staff leave, and more
Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management from a recognised institution, Minimum of 5 yrs experience in a busy institution, A good understanding of Malawi labor laws, Experience with NGOs and USAID funded projects is a plus
Self starter with excellent communication skills (written and verbal), Ability to prioritise and work efficiently under pressure, Strict adherence to deadlines and ability to prioritise conflicting responsibilities, Strong interpersonal skills, Integrity and trustworthiness
Participating in recruitment and evaluation of staff performance, Providing payroll updates to the Senior Human Resources Officer, Managing leave for all the staff, Managing timesheets on monthly basis, Handling disciplinary matters including hearings, Handling staff welfare matters, managing employment contracts, Providing human resource related advice to management in order to promote acceptable practices, Maintaining an up to date human resource record in both electronic and physical forms
