Chief Financial Officer
Our client, Blue Financial Services seeks the services of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), The position is tenable in Lilongwe
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the CFO will be responsible for managing the accounting and finance functions of the company, including oversight over the company’s financial policies, processes and procedures to ensure alignment with the Group’s Key Strategic Drivers and to ensure that excellent and professional customer and client service is given both internally and within Blue and externally
People management – Maintain employee relations and train, mentor and coach subordinates and manage employee performance, develop a challenging and rewarding work environment
Compliance and Internal Control – Ensure that all accounting and financial controls are I place and working effectively and efficiently
Finance control/Management function – Review key account reconciliations, review and interrogate financial results, Ensure that financial records are timely updated, Compliance with all regulatory frameworks including IFRS
Financial Accounting – Timely review of key general ledger accounts, facilitate external audits
Financial reporting – Ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual reports, Produce reports in accordance with IFRS
This is a senior position requiring a mature, problem solver, Self motivated individual with strong analytical competencies, coupled with the ability to inter alia:
Manage staff effectively and Work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines
Holder of a Bachelors Degree, Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with no less than 5 yrs commercial experience in a similar senior position
