Bus/Light Vehicle driver tenable at the Kayelekera Mine in Karonga District, This position will report to the Utilities Foreman and Head Driver
MSCE, valid driving licence with PG category, Minimum of 2 yrs relevant experience, Knowledge of light vehicles and buses and other equipment and operation of the equipment used in work duties, Ability to read, write, speak and understand telephone and verbal communication in English fluently, Those people with a mechanical or automotive electrical background are encouraged to apply
Drive and operate the equipment in a safe manner following al site rules and Malawi road rules, Maintain bus schedules and time tables for all transport rots, Implementation and execution of all tasks and instructions as instructed by superiors, Report near misses, incidents as they occur, Be vigilant of company assets, monitor, report and action through the appropriate procedures, activities that result in the loss, misuse or misappropriation of company assts, Be prepared to send nights away from home due to long distance travel in Malawi, Clean the buses and light vehicles on a daily basis inside and out and keep windows clean at all times, Assist the site mechanics with daily chores relating to light vehicles and bus maintenance, Report all defects and poor conditions to your immediate supervisor, Carry out daily checks of vehicles and buses and make sure they are in good working condition, Attend to equipment in the execution of the weekly workplan, Attend daily and weekly toolbox meeting with Supervisor
