Senior Administrator-Billing systems
Reporting to the Manager- Billing Systems, the senior administrator Billing systems shall be responsible for supporting the company’s Linux/Unit platforms holding all the mission-critical business systems and also support the administration of the databased behind the billing applications
Support, maintain and administer Linux and Unix operating systems for all critical Billing systems, Integrate all Linux systems to performance monitoring tools and proactively monitor the same to ensure system uptime and stability, Ensure systems security and data integrity on all critical billing systems, Participate in all business systems commissioning and integration projects, Provide daily, weekly and monthly service reports on all Billing systems and databases, Conduct systems OS and DB updates, patching and housekeeping, Manage the company’s virtual environment on all business systems, Administer Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, Monitor database performance and conduct database performance tuning, Support and demonstrate DRP and BCP procedures on all Billing systems
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or any related field, At least 2 yrs experience in IT in a busy environment, supporting mission-critical systems, In-depth knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems, Adequate skills in BASH scripting, system automation and storage administration, Hardworking, honest, enthusiastic and flexible, takes accountability seriously and possesses a high level of integrity and professionalism, Able to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in high-pressure situations, Attention to detail with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
