Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Chief Accountant’s overall responsibility is to ensure the integrity of the financial reporting function of the Company, The Chief Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, internal financial controls, and financial reporting through production of management accounts which accurately depict the financial performance of the Company

Will be familiar with standard accounting practices (IFRS) applicable to the hospitality industry

Implementing effective financial controls and procedures at the Company Comprehensive monthly financial reporting of the Company in accordance with strict deadlines, compilation of relevant components of management and board reports, Preparation of budgets and forecasts, payroll administration for the Company, Assisting the Finance and Administration manager with special projects, Analysing data pertaining to the Company and relevant industry sectors, Keeping abreast of trends and developments in the hospitality industry, Demonstrating a high degree of professionalism, self-motivation and responsibility, Leading and directing employees in the faineance dept of the Company

Must have a Bachelor of Accountant Degree from a recognised university, must have a professional qualification such as ACCA or an equivalent from a recognised accounting examining body, Must have at least 2 yrs post qualification experience working in a busy finance department in a similar role

Confidence to challenge the status quo, Strong communication and negotiating skills, In-depth understanding off relevant regulatory requirements, Strong technical accounting knowledge, Be able to work under pressure and never miss deadlines
