Data Manager – 1post – Lilongwe – Management Sciences for Health (MSH) Malawi Country Program
Reporting to the Deputy Project Director, the data manager (DM0 is responsible for developing and implementing the NEMAPP data management plan to ensure high quality data capture and storage and access, Contribute to the development of the project database, data cleaning protocols and entry processes including quality control and performance monitoring systems for the project, Coordinate the development and implementation of project-specific data collection, data quality and M&E protocols, Supervise project teams to ensure timely and quality data collection, data entry, data cleaning and data extraction, Identify and report any data management problems and ensures all data management specific issues are addressed, ensures investigating team is informed of new decision and progress
Masters degree in epidemiology, Biostaticstis or equivalent, A minimum of 3 yrs experience in design and implementing data management system and/or M&E activities, preferably in HIBV and AIDS programming, demonstrated experience in the use of quantitative and qualitative data, including questionnaire design, survey techniques and participatory approaches, Proven strong report writing skills, Ability to present M&E data and findings clearly, Database and computer proficiency with MS office, MS Access, statistical programs (e.g. STATA, SAS, SPSS))
